hi! today felt like one of those days i needed to accomplish something. recently, i've seen ALOT of bloggers showing people how to make nut butter in their own homes with just nuts, like sally did here, but i wanted to put a new spin on it, and seeing as there were a massive amount of bananas in my fruit bowl, i though how could i incorporate bananas into the ever so popular healthy alternative to peanut butter? thus, this was created! enjoy!
banana almond butter
you will need
- food processor, or blender if yours is strong enough to crush almonds
- 1/2 cup almonds
- 1/2 banana
- 2 tbs honey (or agave)
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
directions
- in your food processor, blend the almonds first, then banana, then slowly add in the honey and cinnamon
- pour into a tupperware, or jar and eat on fruit, crackers, toast, a spoon traveling directly towards your mouth, ANYWHERE!
